Specialty Fund Raiser - "Works of Art by Jennifer"California artist, Jennifer Bennedict ("Works of Art by Jennifer"), has been a frequent contributor to Belgian Tervuren fund raising efforts and trophy artist for several specialties. For our 50th anniversary, she has outdone herself with this rock relief plaque of the 4 Belgian varieties. *****News Flash***** Jennifer will have a booth at both the Tervuren and Sheepdog specialites. Pick up your sculptures there. She has also created several new performance sculptures and a new print set just for our specialty as well. Don't miss it!!! Offered as a signed and numbered limited release, this ceramic sculpture will be offered in two finishes - Metallic patina and Natural colored finish. These plaques will be a numbered series of 50 to commemorate the club's 50th anniversary. The mold will be broken after #50 is fired. Numbering will be sequential regardless of the finish selected. The metallic finish has a rich patina giving it an antique look and feel. The dogs are gaiting in an overlapped position - Tervuren, Malinois, Sheepdog, Laeken. The plaques are 12 1/2" wide by 9" tall by 1" thick. The color of the long coat can be interchanged from Tervuren to Sheepdog colorations (long coat, short coat, long coat, wire coat) but the other coat types remain as is due to casting restrictions. Photos have been modified to allow for easier upload and viewing. Larger photos showing detail will be available on request.
The natural finish is a custom finish and will be painted on a per order basis. Tervuren owners can have the first dog custom colored to match your photos. Sheepdog owners should realize that in the customized natural version, you can have the first dog be a Sheepdog and the 3rd dog will then be a Tervuren. Because the hand painted version takes almost twice as long to finish, there is a price difference.
Jennifer will have a booth at the National Specialty this year and will have additional new work with her as well as existing prints. She plans to stay on for the Belgian Sheepdog National. These pieces are quite heavy and she would prefer that you pick them up at the specialties to assure their safe arrival. If you will not be attending, they can be shipped to you at an additional cost but not until 2 weeks before the specialty. Because they are so special, we plan to have an "unveiling" of the work during the Honor Parades and Invitational. Because of their weight, it is recommended that the plaque be displayed on a stand. Jennifer will be providing a free wire, table-top stand with each placque sold. Please place your order directly with Jennifer so that numbering of the limited edition may be maintained.
